Immunity - المناعة

One of the most important recommendations at the moment is to raise the body's immunity. The most important means to raise the body's immunity is to emphasize and promote:

  1. Adequate intake (quantities and qualities) of essential nutrients and fluids.
  2. The importance of food safety (in terms of suitability, washing and cooking), water and personal hygiene.
  3. Regular exercises and physical activity (even if it is at home).
  4. Intake of a multivitamin and mineral supplement.

Immunoboost Diet

All vitamins and minerals contribute to improving metabolism and overall body functions. But the most important minerals and vitamins for immunity are: Vitamin A, Vitamin C and Vitamin D, in addition to iron and zinc.

Vitamin A promotes healthy surface linings of the respiratory tract and mucous membranes, in addition to affecting vision, bone growth, reproduction, cell division, immunity.

Vitamin C is a potent antioxidant, supports epithelial barrier function against pathogens and contributes to immune defense. Supplementation with vitamin C appears to be able to both prevent and treat respiratory and systemic infections.

Iron deficiency results in reduced immunocompetence,  particularly in cell-mediated immunity and the phagocytic activity of neutrophils, which may lead to frequent infections

Zinc is a primary cofactor for more than 300 enzymes, many of which are involved in inflammatory processes. Zinc deficiency leads to thymic atrophy and decreased function. The thymus gland is responsible for the production of T-lymphocytes, a critical part of immunity.

With best wishes for health and wellbeing
