Stomach ulcers

Are painful sores in the stomach lining, usually due to bacterial infection or Long-term use of analgesics.

Symptoms

-The most common symptom is a burning sensation or pain in the middle of the abdomen.  Usually, the pain is most severe when your stomach is empty, and it can last from a few minutes to several hours.

Other common signs and symptoms of ulcers include:

  Weight loss, nausea or vomiting, bloating, feeling full easily, belching or acid reflux, heartburn, a burning sensation in the chest, Anemia, dark-colored stools, Vomiting blood in severe cases.

Not all food affects everyone by the same way, you should learn about food worsen your stomach and avoid

Common Food to avoid

_ beverage  

  1. Whole milk , chocolate milk
  2. Soda ( cola)
  3. High caffeine beverage ( Coffee , tea )
  4.  Orange and citrus fruit juices
  5. Alcohol

 

_ foods

  1. Food made with whole milk or cream
  2. Chocolate
  3. Spicy and strong flavored food
  4. High fat meat ( sausage , processed meat, salami)
  5. Tomato product ( tomato sauce , tomato juice)
  6. Acidic foods (white bread, sugary food, citrus fruits)

 

Food to eat

  1. Whole grains
  2. Fruits (apples, blueberries, raspberries, strawberries, and blackberries).
  3. vegetables especially broccoli, cauliflower, cabbage and radishes, and leafy greens, such as  spinach
  4. Fish , poultry
  5. Eggs
  6. Nuts
  7. Vegetable oil especially olive oil
  8. Probiotic-rich foods, such as yogurt
