Potato Crust Pizza - بيتزا صحية بالبطاطس بدل الدقيق


  • Makes 2 servings

Potato Crust

  •  300g of shredded potatoes (raw)
  • 1 egg
  • Salt+ black pepper+ dried basil+ dried oregano
  • 2 tea-spoons of olive oil
  • 1 table spoon of pizza sauce or tomato paste

Topping

  • 2 table spoons of  Mozzarella cheese
  • one tomato, cut into slices
  • Green bell pepper, cut into slices
  • 3 black olives , cut into slices
  • Either (cooked minced meat with onion, tuna, or pastrami)

Directions

  1. Prepare potato crust.
  2. Peel the potatoes and grate potatoes.
  3. Transfer the potatoes into a kitchen towel and squeeze as much liquid as you can.
  4. Place the potatoes into a large bowl. Add, egg, salt and pepper. Stir to combine. Divide the mixture into 2 parts.
  5. Heat a non sticky pan, add one tea spoon of olive oil then Spread half the potato mixture.
  6. Heat for 3 to 5 minutes on a low temperature, until slightly golden on the edges.
  7. Then turn the crust upside-down, and top the potato crust with tomato paste, sprinkle dried basil+ dried oregano, add half your topping ingredients then cover the pan with a lid  and heat 5 minutes more until cheese is melted.
  8. Repeat the process for the second half.
  9. Enjoy!
