Dangers of instant noodles - أخطار النودلز سريعة التحضير


“Instant noodles” is a fast food that has a good flavor, so many people addicted to this food especially students, children, and people who are busy enough to cook. Since this “Instant noodles” is made to bear a longer shelf life, they are highly processed. They are low on nutritive content; high on fat, calories and sodium; and are laced with artificial colours, preservatives, additives and flavourings.

 The danger of instant noodles for health is not directly visible.

1- “Instant noodles” is made from refined carbohydrates that are little in fibers. This will encourage the rapid weight gain, metabolic syndrome, and rise in blood sugar.

2- “Instant noodles” contains lots of sodium that could stimulate increased blood pressure, kidney damage, fluid retention in the hands and feet.

3- Monosodium glutamate is added in instant noodles to taste delicious. Research reveals that this substance is a danger because it can cause nerve deterioration, brain damage, and kidney disease.

4- Gasses, Bloating and indigestion problems can occur after eating instant noodles, as this food is highly processed and has wax content (that prevents the noodles huddled together among each other).

5- Instant noodles packaged with cups add another problem. Cup contains many harmful substances that can be mixed with instant noodles; in this case this food may cause cancer.
